Verified Quaint accommodation in typical very old townhouse renovated to very acceptable level. Kitchen very well equipped.Stairs were stone and tricky at top, especially as upstairs toilet/washbasin were just there. Access to lower floor bathroom was down spiral stone steps from entrance lobby, tricky for elderly and we did not choose to use.Overall a very acceptable flat in interesting area with good access to excellent local bus service and local shops.

Verified We enjoyed being in a ‘quaint’ typically Maltese neighbourhood. Friendly locals and a wonderful atmosphere. Our accommodation was delightful in every respect. It was much nicer than staying in a modern touristy hotel and the facilities Alessandro provided made us feel welcome and at home.

Verified Great setting and location. Its a beautiful place makes you feel like home and what a lovely experience live in traditional Maltese house. Also Alessandro is always helpful ahd quick response any questions.. we love using local ferry boat across to Valetta. Quick and fun. Malta is beautiful country and full of history. Verified We stayed for 8 nights and loved this apartment. The Airbnb is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The neighborhood is charming, walkable, and has many restaurants by the water. As vegetarians we really appreciated the green grocer down the street. The apartment is well equipped. It is an easy walk to the ferry to Valetta. It was wonderful to feel like a part of the neighborhood if only for a few days. We highly recommend.

Verified We had a fantastic stay at Dar Isla. Great hosts with smooth communications. The place is very nice and the kitchen is well stocked. There was some construction going on nearby which would lead to some noise and smoke filling up, specially in the basement bathroom. But overall we had a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again!

Verified Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefuehlt und haette sogar gern verlaengert- aber leider war die Wohnung schon ausgebucht. Alessandro hat sie mit Allem bestueckt, was noetig ist und uns mit Wasser, Kraecker, Marmelade und Brot begruesset. An einigen Stellen auf L Isla wird saniert, daher sollte man sich auf etwas Baulaerm einstellen. Diese Massnahmen sind aber absolut notwendig um die schoene, alte Architektur zu erhalten. Fuer 2 Personen ist die Wohnung ideal und eine kleine Badestelle imHafen nicht weit! Wir habe die Zeit sehr genossen, da Alles zu Fuss erreichbar war- Birgu mit seinen Museen, Valtetta via Boot, Restaurants… Ein perfekter Ausgangsort.

Verified We had a wonderful time. The space was perfect for a long stay, we felt right at home. There was everything you needed for your convenience. Alessandro and Romina were at the end of the phone if you had any problems ( we only had two which were beyond their control), and they were both sorted very quickly. We can thoroughly recommend staying at Dar Isla.

Verified We really enjoyed our stay Hosts were excellent- replied to any questions very very quickly . Property is as it looks on the pictures. Very eclectic- which we really enjoyed.Extremely well equipped. It is in an up a coming area - so we did experience some building noise close by , but where in malta is there with no building work going on!!! It didn’t spoil our stay though. Loved the location- near the seafront and close to the ferry to Valletta. Senglea ,Birgu and Valletta- probably one of the best places to stay Thanks

Verified ☺Location and value for money. The online welcome package was the best that we have ever seen. The facilities had everything that you could possibly need including dish washer and washing machine. ☹Number of steps down to the bathroom and up to the main living area. This could be a problem for the elderly or the infirm. Having to empty the bucket collecting the condensate from the air conditioner.

Verified ☺Location was great, apartment was comfortable, very nicely renovated and well kitted out. ☹Not much to dislike. It takes a while to get used to the stairs (careful at night) and the close quarter living with neighbours, but that's all part of the experience. Due to the broader state of disrepair in the area there's always a bit of renovation going on around you, but it's all for the greater good of Senglea!
