We had a wonderful time. The space was perfect for a long stay, we felt right at home. There was everything you needed for your convenience. Alessandro and Romina were at the end of the phone if you had any problems ( we only had two which were beyond their control), and they were both sorted very quickly. We really enjoyed our stay Hosts were excellent- replied to any questions very very quickly . Property is as it looks on the pictures. Very eclectic- which we really enjoyed.Extremely well equipped. It is in an up a coming area - so we did experience some building noise close by , but where in malta is there with no building work going on!!! It didn’t spoil our stay though. 100% recommend if you’d like the experience of staying in an authentic Maltese residence! Romina and Alessandro have magnificently captured the essence with a superbly modern touch! The furnishings and finishes give it a supremely cozy feel not to mention a very well equipped kitchen with just the right essentials to complement in-house meal preps, ample pasticcerias, grocers and butcher shops in the vicinity! A well thought out and considerate welcome pack await that make entry and orientation to the neighbourhood and environs quite a breeze! Lots of great restaurant options a stone’s throw away along the marina, about ten minute walk to both Valletta ferry and Isla bus stop so super well communicated, not to mention literal steps away from the Gardiola gardens for peaceful summer evening soujourns! Le logement est particulièrement bien équipé et décoré avec un goût très sûr.Le quartier est calme.Les hôtes sont attentionnés et tout est bien expliqué (en anglais) sur le livret d'accueil.Seul petit bémol pour nous qui sommes séniors, les escaliers qui ne sont pas mentionnés sur l'annonce.Sinon, je recommande.

Mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtetes Apartment auf 3 Ebenen (Haus-Feeling) mitten in der Altstadt von Senglea/Isla. Schöne Restaurants nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt am eindrucksvollen Hafen. Dar Isla is a very nice place. The hosts have put real effort into it, especially the interior decor. It is also super clean and well equipped with everything one might need. The only thing one must bear in mind that there are lots of stairs, the apartment is on three levels and the main bathroom (cozy and clean in itself) is down below (but there is another toilet nearer to the bedroom, so no worries really). The narrow streets are rather noisy, but that is part of the local atmosphere and actually is quite charming.The neighbourhood is really authentic, not touristy. However, there are good restaurants down by the marina. Both Senglea and Vittoriosa across the bay are wonderful little gems, a bit off the beaten track. Alessandro and Romina are caring and good hosts. The welcome pack with some essential food gets you started on the first day. Dar Isla is a wonderfully appointed apartment. It’s stylish, comfortable, and charming. There was a nice welcome surprise. The neighborhood is quiet. There are not many amenities nearby, but the waterfront offers multiple restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed taking the ferry back and forth to Valletta. Stylowo urządzony apartament w spokojnej i pięknej okolicy
☺Bardzo wygodny, stylowo urządzony apartament w spokojnej, pięknej okolicy, bardzo dobrze skomunikowany drogą wodną i lądową z Vallettą i innymi wartymi odwiedzenia miejscami w okolicy. Lokalizacja Dar Isla pozwala na obserwację codziennego życia "zwykłych" Maltańczyków, w okolicy małe sklepiki spożywcze, kościoły, knajpki na nabrzeżu. Znakomite miejsce dla ludzi lubiących spacery, niekoniecznie na spędzanie urlopu w formule all inclusive. Sam apartament wyposażony we wszystko co jest niezbędne do samodzielnego przygotowania posiłków, a nawet gotowania. Znakomita komunikacja z gospodarzami. Fantastic!!!
☺ Loved staying at Dar Isla.  We go to Malta every year and have not been disappointed by the island or properties and this was no exception.  Dar Isla was spotlessly clean, comfy, extremely well equipped, easy to access/leave and the welcome items after a long journey were mostly gratefully received.  There is a corner shop over the road, which was so handy for supplies.  The location is perfect for strolling to local bars, cafes & restaurants in Senglea.  But if you want a dip in the Grand Harbour, then you are only 5 mins away, as right at the end of Sengela you can sunbath on the rocks and swim in the sea, without a grain of sand getting in your shorts! A short 15 walk into Birgu, opens up more sightseeing, restaurant & cafes, not to forget the water taxi to Valletta, a wonderful capital city that is not to be missed.  A further 20 mins walk will take you to Kalkara, with yet more to experience.  Take your swimmers as right at the end it its small, quiet, clean sandy beach, Rinella Bay a favourite with the locals.  Can't wait to go back next year.  Thank you Dar Isla for a wonderful time

☺ - beautiful design-furnished apartment in an old typical house
- basic food and welcome gifts from the owners
- fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker
- close to the ferry to Valletta and the bus stop
- close to groceries and restaurants
- check-in and check-out at night, keys available after entering the code in the lockbox
- the apartment is located on 3 floors, a lot of stairs can be problematic for elderly people
- windows in old houses are not sound proof, might be a problem for someone who is a light sleeper

☺ Location beautiful. Very close to the bus and to the fairy to Valletta, you need to prepared for going a little bit uphill (no problem for me). The apartment has everything that You need to stay in Malta. Its very quiet and 2 local shops are 100m away. Owners are so nice and very helpful. ☺ The apartment is very well equipped and conveniently located. Everyting is easily accessible by ferry and bus. There are numerous small groceries within walking distance. A mobile greengrocer comes by regularly. Communication with Romina and Alessandro went easily.

☹ The windows are not well insulated, so it is sometimes a bit noisy in the early morning hours (around five o'clock) when the small store across the street gets deliveries. Fortunately we could always fall asleep again.
